MARCH NEWSLETTER
This YEAR OF THE HORSE is certainly galloping along at a rapid pace – it’s making me dizzy!
HAPPY ST PATRICK’S DAY
Monday 17th is St Patrick’s Day. St Patrick has a special place in my heart, especially as I went to St Patrick’s Primary at Parramatta and was married in St Patrick’s Cathedral.
The two main qualities of St Patrick, the patron said of Ireland, were that he was humble and courageous. He accepted suffering and success with equal indifference. It is these qualities that I will hold on to while facing the challenges that this Year of the Horse has brought with it.
UPGRADING QUALIFICATIONS
As you read this I will be at Randwick doing my final 3 days of assessment for the Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy. This will be the culmination of one year of assignments, research and workshops. It has been a great experience, hard work and stressful, but in the end will make me a better therapist while keeping me up-to-date with health fund recognition. Wish me luck!!
FUND-RAISING DINNER
This coming Friday 21 March, we will be hosting a fund-raising dinner for the Ky Quang II Padoda Orphanage in Vietnam. There is still time to purchase tickets or give a donation. The venue is Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club, West Ryde. Tickets are $65.00 each which includes a 3-course meal and entertainment, with lots of valuable prizes.
Call Tania Curtin on 02 9871 5032 to purchase tickets.
Tania and I will be visiting the orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City to buy what the orphanage needs with the funds raised at the event. Family and friends have been so generous to date, it will no doubt be a great success.
Following the visit to the orphanage, we will be travelling to Cambodia to visit the sacred sites there. Our trip will be hot, humid, confronting, inspiring and gratifying. Can’t wait to share our experiences with you on my return.
In the spirit of St Patrick, I intend to accept the suffering and success with equal indifference!
Peace, Love and Light
